The HAAS & GSCHWANDTNER gallery cordially invites you to its major summer exhibition featuring renowned German pop art artist @heinermeyer_official. Under the title “50 Years Works on Paper,” we are showing around 20 works on paper—from early sketches from the 1970s to current mixed media works.
The exhibition offers a unique insight into Meyer's drawings and graphic works, which reflect his unmistakable visual language combining pop culture, luxury, and irony. Whether Marilyn Monroe, Superman, classical busts, or luxury cars – Heiner Meyer combines critical observation of the times with aesthetic sophistication and masterful technique.
For Meyer, paper is not just a medium, but a means of expression. His drawings, collages, and studies reveal a very distinctive artistic signature—often more subtle, intimate, and experimental than his canvases.
What is particularly exciting is that many of the works on display provide insight into the artist's thought process. They show not only finished compositions, but also ideas, breaks, and developments that have grown over 50 years.
